DICE: Battlefield 3 uses Frostbite 2.0 on all platforms

Studio dismisses online chatter surrounding engine sharing

DICE has shot down rumours that the console versions of Battlefield 3 aren't fully run using the studio's impressive Frostbite 2.0 engine.

Writing on Twitter, the title's gameplay designer Alan Kertz said: "Bullshit confirmed. Frostbite 2.0 is the engine running the game on all platforms!!"

So there you have it. There has been a lot made of the differences between Battlefield 3 on console and on PC, with DICE itself admitting that the 360 and PS3 versions will be "scaled down" - but still "amazing", obviously.
