All the signs are pointing towards Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 being the biggest release in the series yet.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year," GAME Group MD Tom Devine said.
"We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we've got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us. We're looking forward to an incredible launch on November 8th."
Last month, leading US games retailer GameStop also said Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders were tracking at a 'record-setting pace'.
CoD: Black Ops was recently named the UK's top selling game of all time.

The cheapest seems to be amazon at 43 quid, but top of amazon and Play.com pre order too!
Im really surprised people still buy it in such quantities. Its not changed in the last four years!

Who are these mugs pre-ordering?
I'd rather wait for the inevitable supermarket price war again!
Seems like Game are just hyping it up to get people to pre-order from them rather than quantifying their claims!

You can pre-order this from my local Sainsbury's. Seriously.
Dear Sainsbury's - How about getting some decent f*cking fruit in for a change?

Same game different year!
Have fun people until the evitable glitches and bugs pop up a week later, whilst i'll be playing something else, like Batman Arkham City, Rage, Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, etc, etc.

We have had this article every time there is an upcoming COD. This is just fuel for the COD fanboys and this utterly stupid FPS war.

Thats down to the CoD first day online gathering is one of the biggest phenomena of modern gaming, so naturally people want it on day one or even before.
So dont expect many copies to be sold after week one.

Unsurprising. All the bandwagon-jumping kiddies cry and moan about how COD sucks and how its the same game...and then they buy it anyway.

I WILL DEFINITELY BUY THIS GAME - ON PRE-PLAYED AT AROUND (100 ZAR). THAT'S AROUND 7 QUID OR 12 US DOLLARS. I AM SURE THAT WOULD PUT A SMILE ON BOBBY'S FACE.

Day 1 is mental on XBOX LIVE, I remember Modern Warfare 2, over 4 Million people online at any one point.
I'm gonna wait like I did for Black Ops, let the bugs be ironed out and then pick up a copy once it drops down in price, plus there are too many good games this year like FIFA 12, Skyrim and BF3 that will be released.
2011 shapes up to be the best year I think for gaming in a long time.
