DC Comics to release Uncharted series

Naughty Dog to showcase comic book series at ComicCon

Naughty Dog's announced a deal with DC Comics to release a series of comic books based on Uncharted.

The comic series, which is scheduled to debut in time for the release of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in November, will be showcased for the first time at ComicCon in San Diego this week.

The first issue "launches Nathan Drake on a journey to the center of the earth on a quest to see the legendary Amber Room," the developer explains.

"As enemies from Sir Francis Drake's past come for revenge on his descendant, Drake must use all the skills at his disposal to stay one step ahead of the game."

Uncharted #1 is written by Joshua Williamson (SUPERMAN/BATMAN), with art by Francesco Francavilla (DETECTIVE COMICS) and featuring covers by Adam Hughes.

Alongside its panel on Friday evening, Naughty dog's set to showcase Uncharted toys, figures and an original novel, Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth, at the US event.
