Shadows of the Damned director Massimo Guarini has quit Grasshopper to set up a new multimedia company.
According to GameSpot, a teaser page for his new studio Ovosonico Productions boasts the tagline "The sound of bold ideas" and the slogan "Games, Music, Films with an attitude."
Prior to his time at Grasshopper, Guarini worked at Ubisoft on the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six series and later directed Naruto: Rise of a Ninja.
Shadows of the Damned, which Guarini made with Suda-51, Shinji Mikami and composer Akira Yamaoka, launched last month to largely impressive reviews, but its commercial performance has yet to live up to them. The game sold just 24,000 copies in the States last month, having released on June 21.
