It's been a fair while since Keiji Inafune left Capcom, but the developer still felt the need to apologise to staff and fans following news of the Mega Man Legends 3 cancellation on 3DS yesterday.
"The decision for the cancellation was out of my sphere," he wrote on his blog. "But as someone who took part in the development, I'd like to convey something to the staff: I'm sorry that I couldn't be of assistance."
Inafune went on to say that the Mega Man dev team didn't need his help thanks to their tremendous motivation and encouraged them to put their energy into making a better game
In a message to the fans he said, "I'm truly sorry I couldn't take part until the end."
Mega Man Legends 3 is just one example of a problematic third party line-up for the 3DS. Should we be concerned?
