BioWare wants to keep upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic up and running for decades.
Speaking during a panel at ComicCon, game director and lead designer James Ohlen was asked how many planets are in the game and whether more are scheduled for release in later expansions.
"I can say that we have 19 major worlds," he said, according to Darth Hater. "Then we have an indeterminate number of minor worlds. And our goal, obviously this being an online game that we're hoping is going to last for decades, we're going to be, obviously, adding more to the galaxy map as the game progresses.
"We want to add dozens of worlds," Ohlen added. "Hundreds of worlds eventually. In 2025, we'll hopefully have 500 worlds."
Bioware director of production Dallas Dickinson chipped in: "Guaranteed. In year 2025."
Last week, EA released the first official details of The old Republic Collector's Edition, which is set to cost £129.99.
The company has yet to reveal an official launch date, but CVG has been told the game's likely to release this November.
