DRM: From Dust PC requires 'online Ubisoft service'

Steam listing says Ubisoft title includes unpopular protection

Ubisoft's unpopular anti-piracy measures aren't stopping any time soon: According to its Steam listing, the firm's brilliant On Dust will utilise its much-maligned DRM.

The title joins Driver as a new Ubisoft PC release that uses the anti-piracy protection.

The game's details on its Steam page list: '3rd-party DRM: Ubisoft Online Service'.

Critics of Ubisoft's DRM - which typically requires players to maintain an "always on" internet connection - suggest that it gives pirates a better playing experience than legitimate consumers.

From Dust was released on Xbox Live this week, but won't hit PC until midway through next month.
