Armored Core 5 delayed

From Software pushes back game's Japanese release after beta feedback

From Software has delayed the Japanese release of Armored Core 5 after feedback it received from a recent online closed beta.

It was due to hit Japanese shelves in October this year with a western release to follow shortly after in early 2012, but the Japanese launch has been shoved back to January. With no date set prior, From Software made no mention of its release this side of the planet, but the delay is bound to have a knock-on effect.

The developer said the delay will allow them to implement the feedback it recently received via the online beta.

The game will feature more tactics-based gameplay than previous entries and will introduce huge team-based battles on a global scale with a persistent online world in which players fight over territory. Armored Core 5 will also have an offline mode.

Namco Bandai will handle the eventual release of the game in US and Europe. Check out the most recent Armored Core 5 trailer here.
