Lionhead's upcoming Kinect exclusive Fable: The Journey will be easy enough to pick up and play, but Fable 2 veterans can expect a challenge further in, studio boss Peter Molyneux has revealed.

"The great thing about having a system that's open-ended is that you'll feel, more and more, that it's you that's solved a problem, and not a button-press or working out a code The difficulty we're looking at is around the Fable 2 level, between one and two. Easy at the start, and a lot more challenging."
The rest of the OXM chat covers why hardcore gamers haven't embraced Kinect - take a look. Issue 76 of OXM, out today, carries a full two-page preview.
Last month, Molyneux told us that he "agreed" with core Kinect scepticism of current Kinect offerings, commenting "any invention as big as Kinect just takes a while for us to get our teeth into".

Erm...Fable 2, like most games of today, was a breeze. Games are never really challenging enough anymore, last games i got frustrated with were ME2 on insanity and some boss fight in FFXIII.

Didn't I hear that Molyneux said of Fable, "I want a blind child to be able to win this game with their feet"?
full article here.
It seems to me that Fable has always been overly easy and worse with each iteration.
EDIT as I could be arsed finding the article.

Does he even remember that you couldn't actually die in Fable 2? Your character got knocked down, got a new scar, then got back up again, free to continue to brute force your way past whatever enemy implausibly managed to "beat" you.
I think my character "died" once in the whole game.

Out of all of the Fable games I only ever died twice and both were in the original game. The latest Fable games have been p**s easy.

I agree they need to make it to were it's more challenging like in the first fable like when you die you go back to the check point, of course we sometimes get mad about it...but that's part of what made the challenge and the fun, having to do it over again and to attempt something different, other than getting knocked out then back up just to finish him off. not only that but to create harder bosses especially in fable 2 being defeated by a music box does not make things challenging; and not very rewarding, think about it he had power we could have fought him for a bit then use the box when he was weakened just enough...sorry getting off on a rampage
