GC 2011: Battlefield 3 brings MIG jet to GamesCom

Big promotion planned for next week's consumer show

EA's sent its own fighter jet out to GamesCom to promote Battlefield 3 at next week's German consumer event.

We're not clued up on our high-tech weapons of destruction but we've been reliably informed that the particularly mean-looking bit of kit you see in the video is a MIG.

Beyond the showboating, the aircraft may allude to what flavour of gameplay EA and DICE will be showing off at GamesCom next week. At E3 the publisher showed off an extended gameplay demo featuring a tank - perhaps this time we're in store for some airborne modern combat.
