Batman FPS Gotham City Impostors beta sign-ups are go

Could the multiplayer FPS be an unexpected hit?

The Batman Gotham City Impostors beta sign-up sheet is now online should you be curious enough to scribble your name down.

The game's official website brings full details of the beta as well as a start date of September:

"You've been waiting patiently to get some delicious hands-on time with Gotham City Impostors, and we're more than happy to tell you that the opportunity is finally here. Our beta test is about to begin!

Be aware that this is a closed beta with a limited number of codes, but when we start sending them out we'll be sure and let everyone know on Twitter and Facebook. (You know, so that you can avoid scams, and other unsavory acts perpetrated by the dark splinters of the Internet.)

For those of you that are sticklers for specifics, the beta will be starting in September. So what are you waiting for?"

If this is the first you've heard of the new Batman game, it's an online multiplayer FPS title based on groups of Batman and Joker impostors.

Full details were announced in May. While it's a novel idea, there's been a bit of a mixed reaction.
