Just Cause dev 'will definitely make' more downloadable games

Renegade Ops development gives Avalanche a "new boost of energy"

Just Cause developer Avalanche is currently putting the final touches to Renegade Ops, the top-down arcade shooter that's being billed as a triple-A digital title, and it seems the studio has gotten a taste for downloadable game development.

When asked whether we'll see a bigger Avalanche presence in the digital market in the future, Renegade Ops game director Axel Lindberg responded incredibly positively.

"Yes, I definitely think so," he said. "I think we'll definitely continue with digital downloads. It's very different, very fun, and once again it's a very nice deviation from the big projects.

"I'd say it was a good way for teams to get a new boost of energy," he added. "Also, some of us just want to do games that draw a lot of inspiration from older games like old arcade games and stuff like that so yes, I definitely think so."
