Japanese 3DS sales rocketed following the introduction of a significant price cut on August 11.
In the four days to August 14, Nikkei pegged 3DS sales at 207,000 units, while Enterbrain reported 214,821 units.
The sales figure is the system's second highest weekly total following the 371,326 units sold during its launch week in February, Andriasang reports. 3DS has sold 1,521,326 units in Japan to date.
We contacted Nintendo UK and Chart-Track yesterday to find out the impact of the price cut on this side of the pond, but neither has got back to us with any data yet.
