GC 2011: Resident Evil: Revelations gameplay trailer, screens

More face-munching action from GamesCom

Capcom has released two new gameplay videos and a bunch of screens showing off Resident Evil: Revelations, the upcoming 3DS entry in the survival horror series.

The screens show returning Resident Evil protagonist Chris Redfield strutting his zombie-hunting stuff in an icy area. As always, there are plenty of nasties at hand to keep him on his toes - in this case it's zombie dogs.

Capcom producer Masachika Kawata said earlier this year that the company views Resident Evil Revelations as a direct sequel to Resident Evil 5. Unlike fellow 3DS release, the score-chasing Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D, Revelations also "brings out the traditional atmosphere that Resi has been famous for over the years".

Isn't this set before RE5? Telling the story about how Chris and Jill got seperated on the hunt for Wesker?

Nevermind, just read the full article. My mistake, still i could of sworn it was thought to be a prequel at some point.

This must be better than Resi 5. It doesnt have Co Op to save it this time :)

What needed saving about Resi 5? Whilst I'd like to see a return to its traditional survival horror roots, there's no denying that 5 was a lot of fun, and a very good game overall.
