Microsoft has released new screens and a video for Forza 4, showing off the new Hockenheim race track as well as how developer Turn 10 put it together.
Turn 10 chief Dan Greenawalt told us last month that Forza 4 was just five weeks away from being completed, and that the team managed to avoid 'crunch' on the game by strictly 'metering all the way along'.

I'm just hoping they also have they did the old school F1 layout where you would drive into the woods, as an F1 fan that was one of the reasons for loving Hockenheim.

Looks as accurate as GT5, and just as boring. More excitement please. Take Shift 2 and GRiD's good points and run with them.

What he said. Its a shame they had to let the old circuit just be reclaimed to nature, but sadly that was the deal to appease the hippys to let them build the new section.

They could have driven the track with a mobile LIDAR scanner, yielding a detailed point cloud to construct actual polygonal geometry from. Would have required a lot less translation and interpretation of GPS coordinates and photographic reference.
Oh well...
