Here are some fresh new Gamescom screenshots for the newly-named Resistance: Burning Skies on Vita.

Developers from Nihilistic Software then took to the stage to show off the handheld version of Resistance, emphasising that the controls on the Vita are the same as on the console.
Below is the in-stage demo Sony showed at the conference.

The graphics are looking sharp! Nice use of the touch screen function too and best of all dual analogue sticks so we can actually play!

I wonder if they can superimpose giant circles onto the screen to use as joysticks instead? That way my fingers can block the important bits. iPhone 4EVER!!!

While it does seem promising (as I am liking the graphics, the fluidity of the gameplay and the general ideas in this game), I can't help but doubt the game considering it is being made by Nihilistic Software, the company behind the abysmal Playstation Move Heroes
If they managed to turn an amazing idea of having Ratchet and Clank, Sly and Bentley and Jak and Daxter all in one game into a bad game, who knows what they might do here. However, I am reserving my judgement as I think they are on the right lines here and may well redeem themselves in my eyes

A clear case of being forced to use every hardware option the device has. Using a button on screen while you have so many on the device itself is just retarded.
