LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation Vita aims to use the console's new features and portability to enhance the way you create levels, as the new Gamescom trailer below demonstrates.

It appears to use the console's rear-facing camera to take pictures and then lets you use those images to create objects in the game.

LBP is expected to be one of the earlier games out on Sony's powerful new handheld.

Sounds interesting. Good to see that developers are really exploring how the Vita tools can be used to create a new gaming experience rather than just the same old franchises on small screen. Hope it all works...

Bizarrely, now that psp is in its death throes, I find that I'm actually using mine much more with the release of FF IV, Persona 3, Tactics Ogre, 3rd Birthday (not to mention the digital comic service). Shame these weren't around a few years ago, the handheld might not have failed as much as it has.

It also might not have failed as much (even though it's a huge success in Japan) if it had 2 analog sticks. Thankfully we will be getting that now.
