Sony said during its GamesCom conference last night that all PS Vita games will be downloadable via the PlayStation Store.
Vita titles will be available at retail too of course, through a new, proprietary flash-memory storage medium. Additionally, the new handheld will play all PSP games released through Sony's digital marketplace, Gamasutra reports.
The platform holder also announced last night that free, dedicated Vita apps for popular social networks Facebook, Foursquare, Skype and Twitter are in the works.
What it didn't confirm was a Vita release date or software pricing. All eyes now turn to next month's Tokyo Game Show.
