It matters not, let's all share the quality of Silent Hill2 HD.
I am getting a teensy weensy bit concerned by the amount of old games being given the spit and polish at the mo. The minds that made these old games so great must still be out there. New ideas, anyone?

great news, didn't make sense that MGS and Z.O.E collections were coming to the 360 but not the Silent Hill collections, its not like SH has never been on the xbox before(2 and 4 were on the xbox and homecoming was on the 360)
not sure why they have not included Silent Hill 1,Silent Hill :Origins or Silent Hill :The Room though

oh and CVG,the trailer in your old article that you link to has been taken down now

Good news!

Good call. These "collections" are meant to allow people to enjoy games that have been around for a pretty long time in a slightly crisped up format. Limiting them to 1 platform kind of counters the entire point.

Oh yes. Can't wait to check out all that HD fog and HD darkness!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Good news, indeed. Never played SH2, but 3 creeped me out (especially the theme park section). Not as much as Project Zero, but far more than any of the Resi's. Now if somebody could put together a PZ collection, that would be great!!

I'm with you all the way on your Project Zero HD idea...

Let's hope Sam Fisher & the HD 3D updates of Splinter Cell follow suit!..

Good to see i've got a choice of what format i can buy it on but what i really want to know is can i change the bloody inverse look in this one, that ruined the last SH game i bought. Bloody hope so as i'd love to play SH2 again.

This! But probably not due to Ubisoft being t**ts.

I want a GTA HD collection.

Seriously, Project Zero disturbed me to the point where, sometimes, I'd literally have to switch it off and take a break! But I loved the whole thing. Talking of HD collections, it's a shame Sly Cooper and the upcoming Jak & Daxter collections are't multi format. They were great games.

Joy! good news indeed.

That's good, I'd rather play it on 360, so it's nice that I have the choice now.
@funkymonkey18 - you've never played SH2?? You're in for a treat. I'm almost a little jealous. SH2 and 3 are my favourites.
Also, you can add my name to the list of people calling for a Project Zero collection! I've only played the first one, but it's probably the most unnerving game I've ever played.

Awesome, the more people that get to experience Silent Hill the better! I still don't know why they didn't bundle Silent Hill 4 in with this? Sure it wasn't the best in the series but still deserves some HD love.

I love hearing this. I love the Silent Hill franchise & even though I was getting a PS3 this holiday season the 360 is going to remain my main system. I've put 6 years into that system & am on the verge of a 100,000 Gamerscore. So I'm sticking with the 360 cause it's what I'm used to. But I was prepared to pickup the Silent Hill collection with the PS3. Now I am thrilled to find out I can add some Silent Hill greatness to my 360.
Nice to see this happen. PS3 & 360 living in harmony, that's the way I like it.

I want the HD timesplitters collection with online multiplayer.
funkymonkey18 on 17 Aug '11 said:
Yeah, I've always heard good things about it, so I'm looking forward to giving it a spin, and to playing through SH3 again.
I remember when I got PZ, thinking "it won't be that scary. It's only a game". Well I can honestly say that no other game has come close since then to creating a real sense of dread. I'm sure an HD collection of all 3 would keep me up for many nights!
Also, a big yes for a Timesplitters collection.
Ror1984 on 17 Aug '11 said:
That pervasive, thick atmosphere that PZ has in spades is also pretty evident in SH2 to a degree, but just be aware it's one of the more depressing games out there!
Ooh, Timesplitters HD collection! The CVG commenters are coming up with all kinds of good ideas today, count me in! I think I've still got my PS2 copies tucked away somewhere...
MrPirtniw on 17 Aug '11 said:
I love the Silent Hill games- but I don't know why. They're horrible to play with awful dialogue but dammit, the wierdness and the excellent twists in the story keep me playing. Never found them scary though- the noises/music sometimes gave me goosebumps but that was about it really.
Project Zero/Fatal Frame on the other hand... No. I don't want to think about it... I don't want anymore brown trousers.
Lady Gagagged on 18 Aug '11 said:
I'll second, third or whatever numerical equivalent is required for a PZ HD collection.

People talking about Timesplitters HD remake, read this http://www.gamesradar.com/f/classic-game-appreciation-section-timesplitters-2/a-20110721154543843083 its a great read. Timesplitters was MY fps. It just hooked me, more than Goldeneye did. It was, no IS, the best FPS game EVER. Or at least the best I have ever played! I had EVERYTHING done that the game had to offer me. Every difficulty nailed in both single and co-op, every challenged PLATINUMED! For anyone who hasnt played it, trust me, it's a real b!tch to get most of those platinums. I still have my save file to prove it
I thought I had laid that game down to rest, so if they did resurrect it, allow me to get a usb adapter and plug in my ps2 mem card and upload my save file so I can unlock all the achievements straight away lol That would be killer!
