New FIFA Street details and screenshots have been revealed following the game's official announcement during EA's GamesCom conference in Cologne yesterday.

The FIFA Street reboot won't accommodate 11 v 11 competition, for example, but it will allow for match-ups between 2-12 players, with the usual 50/50 split on each side, of course.
As established at GamesCom, FIFA Street is being made with the FIFA 12 engine but with more of focus on flair and using trickery to create more space. But don't rule out the passing game as it's still relevant out on the concrete.
"You're definitely going to have to play a passing game to a degree in 6-vs-6 games, which have reasonably big pitches," Paterson told PSM3.
"Street football is all about flare, so we'll have the likes of heel passes and flare passing. What we're debating over right now is how difficult to make a pass.
"Obviously, in the main FIFA series the difficulty isn't in placing a single pass; it's in stringing 15 or 20 passes together to create space so you can get a good shot away," he continued. "But with such small pitches in Street, one successful pass can potentially put you through on goal for a scoring opportunity."

Ive never played fifa street before and the idea does tempt me. I may pick it up providing the characters dont look like the bastard child on Looney tunes meets Gears of war

I can remember playing first fifa street and having miles of fun. a nice difference on normal game. I just felt the last 2 were either useless iterations or went far to cartooney.

Surely the whole idea of street football and these stars producing 'flair' passes is that you can put a brilliant pass through, score a wonder goal, and then go on to have a 15-13 scoreline by the end? There's no point doing wonder passes if they go straight to the goalie!!
