Konami has confirmed it will release the late-arriving PSN version of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair in September.

Released a year ago on Xbox Live Arcade, Harmony of Despair is a traditional 2D Castlevania game with a multiplayer twist - up to six players can take control of protagonists throughout the CV series and romp around on screen busting up giant bosses and exploring sprawling dungeons inspired by the worlds of Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia.

The PS3 version will come with a new local multiplayer option for up to four players, and will also include the "Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire" Map pack, which packs the Pyramid of Ruin level as well as downloadable characters Julius Belmont and Yoko

Belnades.

If you are expecting a proper Castlevania game then steer clear of this.... not good at all. It's like the 80's Mario Bros arcade game is to Nes Super Mario Bros, a very limited experience and not worth a tenner.

I disagree. While it's not a proper Castlevania game, it is a good game. I and countless others have had many, many hours of fun with it.
