GC 2011: Bloody Ninja Gaiden 3 screens

Tecmo Koei has sent over a few new shots of Ninja Gaiden 3, most of which show Ryu stabbing someone, so don't be surprised to see a lot of blood. So much blood.

Developer Team Ninja has said the game will place a greater emphasis on Ryu's backstory, and in its current state there are no other playable characters.

Speaking with OXM earlier this year, Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi promised a "paradigm shift" for the third instalment in the series, saying it won't repeat the over-familiar design some criticised Ninja Gaiden 2 for.

    Nice, but I'd like to see some proper gameplay screens (complete with hud to prove for authenticity) as every time a dev releases screenshots they are always in game engine shots but never feature the hud so you're not sure if they've been touched up (most have) and what the actual game looks like.
