It's not just 3DS hardware that's been flying off shelves recently - software sales are looking up, too.
That's if Ubisoft Germany sales are anything to go by. Ubisoft's European marketing and sales director Geoffrey Sardin has told GamesIndustry that the firm's seen an 'eight-fold' increase in 3DS software sales since the price drop earlier this month.
"We are very pleased with the developement,"said Sardin, whose sentiments were shared by Ubisoft Germany MD Ralf Wirsing.
However GI reports that an anonymous rep from 'another major third-party publisher' wasn't quite ready to reach for the party poppers just yet. "So far retail is not euphoric," he said.
"The fact that 3DS-software is still treated with great caution in the initial and repeat orders, we see that retail waits for the commercial development. It will be important to watch 3DS when the big Nintendo-titles are out there on holiday season. If the machine does not sell then, its definitely dead."
