With the likes of Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 and Uncharted 3 the dominant names on every gamers' mind, it sounds like it's going to be a cold winter for any title that isn't a sequel to some superpower series.

"It's a brand new IP. It's going to be coming out at a time when we think a lot of sequels are going to be coming out so it's a very fresh, new experience for players," Allgiar told us in our video interview.
"We're focusing on co-op, which is a big trend right now, people love to play games together, and we're specifically focusing on an a-symmetrical co-op experience."
While it's a brand new IP, Allgiar hopes that the same old Insomniac qualities will see it through:
"Overstrike definitely plays to Insomniac's strengths, it's got imaginative weaponry, it's got engrossing characters and storylines. It's also got a sense of humour and it's heavily based on action."

A Multi-format game? Oh well bang goes the 'PIXAR' quality graphics that they used to do for the R&C games :-/

Anyone else think 'The Incredibles' whilst watching this trailer?

True.
To be honest I like Insomniac, I just don't love them. Crash was better than Spyro. Jak and Daxter (at least the first one) beat Ratchet and Clank. The Ps3 Ratchet games have been fun but they're just too much of the same. Resistance is a very average game series made popular only because of its exclusivity.
I want all Insomniac games to be brilliant but I no longer expect it.
