House of the Dead: Overkill refused classification in Australia

PS3's Extended Cut presumably too "extended"

House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut has been refused classification in Australia, despite the promise of a forthcoming R18+ rating.

Is killing the living dead too much for Australian adults?
Is killing the living dead too much for Australian adults?
The game's Wii version was granted an MA15+ rating when it was considered in May 2008, though it appears Sega's "extended" elements - including two new scenarios - may have tipped it over into "too brutal" territory.

When a game is refused classification in Australia it is effectively banned.

Should have seen this coming really.. they create a classification for those specific games refused the current highest rating, then refuse to use it.
