Anyone else think that this is the most pointless 'addition' to any edition of a game? I mean you will literally look at it for about 5-10 seconds from the case being opened and the game being put into the disk-tray, then probably never see it again

Not that I'm buying it but I hope that doesn't actually add to the cost of the package.

You're assuming it's a 1 year membership of the premium version of CoD ELiT3 .

That hasn't been comfirmed, has it? They've said you'll get free DLC, but haven't said if this will be the regular DLC or other DLC.
If that was the case, the hardened edition would be a steal.

If you look under the One year membership section in the screenshot, it says in brackets (Including Map Packs)

I'd be careful! With the Destruction engine includes, it might fall apart if you were to pick it up..
