GAMEfest will run from the 16-18 September 2011 at the Birmingham NEC, with the retail chain promising that attendees will be able to "play the most anticipated titles of the year before anyone else".

Tickets cost £10 for anyone aged 12 or over and £5 for anyone under 12-years-old. They can be purchased from www.game.co.uk/gamefest.

To buy tickets, would-be attendees must own a GAME reward card, which can be grabbed via game.co.uk or any GAME store.

GAME UK marketing director Anna-Marie Mason said: "With the fantastic line-up already in place for GAMEfest, we're not surprised gamers across the country have jumped at the chance to see and play some of the most exciting games of the year before anyone else.

"With lots more announcements still to come, fans won't be disappointed. The publisher support for GAMEfest has been brilliant and is helping us create a memorable and exciting event for gaming fans to enjoy."

Don't worry, this being GAME you can probably pick 'em up for the same price "Preowned" as a new ticket if their store prices are anything to go by.

Hopefully we'll get to see some U games that're on their way although it's too early for playable demos from third parties imo. I'm quite eager to see how games are going to look on hardware 4 or 5 times more powerful than the PS3 and 360 as well as what sort of uses developers are going to make of the touchscreen controller. And it's about bloody time that Nintendo came up with a name for the bloody thing lol

i'm really looking forward to this, with some big names taking part it's very doubtful this event will be a flop.

people should put aside their negative views & comments on GAME, they are putting together a games event in the UK with big players taking part, the tickets are pretty cheap & free if you use GAME points to pay for the ticket like i did, yes of course they are doing it to gain brand awareness & make money, but at least they are giving us gamers some event to go to.

i went to the Future Entertainment Show many years ago at Earls Court that was run by the owners of this very site & it was a bit disappointing to be honest :(
