Steam purchasers of Deep Silver's Dead Island have seemingly be sent an incorrect version of the game designed for developer testing.
Users on the official Steam forums point out mysterious lines of code present in their version of the zombie RPG, which mention among other things Xbox Live.
Abundant glitches and the ability to no-clip through walls also sounds alarm bells that the Steam version of Dead Island isn't quite right.
A Deep Silver spokesperson confirmed it's currently looking in to the Steam reports and will endeavour to make sure PC players have an enjoyable experience.
A day-one patch to address 37 known issues should also help a bit.
