Devil May Cry HD Collection rated by ESRB

Official Devil May Cry ratings carry PS3 and 360 as platforms

Retailers have already posted listings for the Devil May Cry HD Collection and even publisher Capcom has hinted at next-gen paint jobs for the series, but nothing has been made official yet.

Now US ratings body the ESRB has added fuel to the fire with official ratings for Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening.

The significant bit? The ratings carry the PS3 and Xbox 360 as platforms.

Other than that it's what you'd expect - blood, violence and "suggestive themes".

No more HD collections please! Actually, one more... Jak and Daxter. No more after that though.

Sorry Ninja Theory, this is where my affair with the series ends.

DMC3: Special editon and 1 HD will do me fine. they might as well scrap 2 though, i ran through it again last week and it really is as bad as most remember.

We need a few more yet Stryker: once Square release FFX and FFXII HD collection and Rockstar sort GTA 3, VC AND SA HD collection i'll feel ok but those 2 need to happen.

can we have R-Type Final HD and Gradius V HD too?

Totally agree, FFX and FXII need a re-release, would totally pay £20 for those masterpieces in HD.

I've just posted a 1080p DMC 1 trailer and a 720p DMC3: special edition if anyone would like a look at the games in a higher res than normal. I'm uploading my own to Youtube right now but i've used an embed for both til mine are processed.

Hit the link in my sig if you wanna see em.

I swear to God whoever is making these HD collections knows me and bloody hates me. All the games that I irrationally hate from the last gen have been re made and it's doing my head in now. Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill. They should just do the Resi, Final Fantasy and Hitman games and my nightmare is complete.

Prince of Persia got done which was the only one I wanted thus far. Ico/SOTC is coming which is good, but where is Timesplitters, GTA, Burnout? You could have the Knights of the Old Republic games remade too. That'd be good. Shenmue HD collection would also be awesome.

This, the SoTC/ICO remix, the MGS collection and a possible GTA collection would be the last of the HD remixes i would consider buying.
The first and third DMC games were 2 of the best from the last gen and worthy of a good few replays.

I am a dmc fan and have all the dmc games. I would only buy this if it was a proper hd remake which I highly doubt it will be as almost every so called "hd remake" that I've seen so far has simply had the resolution changed, and everything else about the game has remained exactly the same. There are a few exeptions Serious Sam Hd Collection for instance (fabulous game and awesome graphical upgrade) so I'll wait and see before writing it off completely but I have my doubts.

Despite still owning all the last gen Devil May Cry games, Devil May Cry 4 and a fully working PS2 slim I might pick this up. Possibly when the price hits the £15 mark or under. Trophy support will sway my decision and if this is really a HD remake as it deserves to be.
I've still not get around to buying the God of War HD collections or Prince of Perisa. Also if true I would buy a Kingdom Hearts HD collection without question.

You're the only one calling them HD remakes. Everybody else calls them what they actually are, HD collections.

The publishers would have you believe otherwise...
