Angry Birds tops 350 million downloads

Mobile gamers play the title for more than 300 million minutes each day

Angry Birds downloads have topped 350 million across all platforms.

That's according to developer Rovio's US general manager Andrew Stalbow, who said mobile gamers log over 300 million collective minutes playing it each day,

He also said a range of Angry Birds plush toys launched in December 2010 had sold just over two million units by March of this year. Today, they're selling another million each month, as are a line of Angry Birds t-shirts, TechCrunch reports.

Unsurprisingly then, Rovio plans to continue focusing on Angry Birds for the foreseeable future. "There's a very strong focus on Angry Birds because it's turning into a big entertainment franchise," Stalbow said, according to VentureBeat.

Rovio's latest funding round could value the Finnish company, which employs 50 staff, at more than $1.2 billion.
