UMD conversion program for Vita under consideration

You may be able to enjoy your entire back catalogue of PSP games on the new handheld

Sony is reportedly considering introducing a UMD conversion program for Vita.

Sony said at its pre-TGS conference there will be somewhere between 500-600 PSP titles that work with Vita as almost all digital PSP games on the PSN are compatible with the new handheld.

According to Destructoid, the platform holder also said it is "considering some kind of program to offer special download versions" of older UMDs as replacements, although no plans have been confirmed yet.
