Codemasters is offering gamers their first hands-on opportunity with F1 2011 for Vita at the Tokyo Game Show, and the publisher has sent over a new gameplay movie for those who couldn't make it to Japan.
Captured from work-in-progress footage, the first gameplay video for the Vita version reveals multiplayer modes including two versus two co-op and four player competitive racing.
As well as all of the official teams, drivers and circuits from the current F1 championship, the game will feature Grand Prix, Time Trial, Challenge and multiplayer modes.
Codies says gamers can tailor their experience across solo and multiplayer modes by adjusting race distance, tuning their car, choosing from a range of driving aids and selecting tyre, fuel and weather options.
F1 2011 will be a Vita launch title when the system debuts in Japan on December 17. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions hit the UK next Friday, September 23.
