Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City delayed

Will miss it's originally-announced 2011 release, Capcom confirms

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will not make its originally scheduled 2011 appearance.

Confirmation comes straight from Capcom after its complete absence from last week's Tokyo Game Show raised some eyebrows.

When questioned over its no-show, Capcom reportedly told Kotaku that the game won't see a release this side of Christmas, but now is "definitely locked in for winter", which basically means early next year.

Operation Raccoon City is a spin-off of the series that puts a more action-packed, Left 4 Dead-style twist on the usual Resi gameplay, allowing teams of four players to co-op as they blast through the city in search of survivors to kill.

Over half an hour of Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City gameplay footage hit the net last month - more than enough to give you an idea of what it's all about.

I'm glad this has ben delayed just like i was with Twisted metal, there is already enough great games coming this year that anything that isnt triple A with get buried, hopefully it will also give them time to polish the game and give us a beta.
