We can see Phantasy Star Online fans wincing in excitement after watching this new trailer of the long-awaited sequel.
Surprisingly little has been shown of Phantasy Star Online 2 since first screenshots and a trailer turned up in April.
But according to recent reports, the game will feature 12-player online play, with players forming parties of four. Third-person action sequences are said to mix in jumping and shooty setpieces with a new combo system for more hands-on combat.
This trailer shows off some of the various environments you'll see in the game. Looks sweet.

This is my number one most wanted game, I so hope they can get it out in English before long. I want PSO to be my life again, something to play all year 'round.

I hope they can recreate the excitement of the first one on the Dreamcast. Some of my happiest gaming memories... X-Wing, Doom, Half-life & counter strike, Homeworld, FFVII, Mass Effect 2 and PSO are right up there at the top.

The original is one of my favourite games of all time (still play on private servers).
This would be the only MMO i'd ever pay for. Best time i've had in gaming, a group of mates just playing through the entire game on all difficulties and maxing out characters a few summers back. Good times.
