The Battlefield 3 beta isn't set to kick off fully for another couple of days but, as promised, those who pre-ordered the DICE shooter through Origin will be getting beta keys around lunchtime.
"Please don't ask about 'when do I get my email' etc," said Battlefield 3 dev Gustav Halling via his blog. "We don't know. This is an automated system that sends a bunch out every hour starting around lunch today."
For those who want to gain access via their Medal of Honor purchase, you don't need to have the disc to hand. Halling explained via Twitter, "You just need to have entered the online code for MOH on your account."

Mind you I will give the console versions a bash at a later date, just to compare. From what I have seen the PS3 version looks (almost) just like the PC alpha (no AA, AF & tessellation) only at lower framerates, lower screen resolution & no v-sync. Quite a mean feat TBH albeit the screen tearing is very noticeable as it happens quite often. There is still time to sort it out, however give me odd screen tear over obvious drops in frames mistaken by many as LAG.

Absolute pain in the backside having to rank up again on bad company 2, on the PS3 I was rank 32-33 ish, now im back to 13, I miss my G3

There are no codes on PS3. Those that have an EA account and played MoH can get it from the PS Store. I guess it knows your account name.
