The Battlefield 3 beta went live today, but codes were only dished out to those who have pre-ordered the game on Origin or previously bought the Medal of Honor Limited Edition.
If you didn't get early access, hopefully this will keep you going until September 29 when the Battlefield 3 beta will be made available to one and all on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
OXM also has four minutes of action from the Xbox 360 Battlefield 3 beta.

Not sure what u expected tbh. If you ever played bc2, it's just refinement of that , with prettier graphics, which is all you could ask for IMO , as bc2 was frickin awesome.
Bf3 has destruction, vehicles , has added going prone and ability to straddle over objects, which fixes a fundamental issue with fps IMO . Little other things set it apart too, like when spawning you it drops you in prone, so you dont get caught in crossfire etc etc. Things that just improve on what was there already .
This game like most team based games only comes into it's own with mates in your squad

The game plays tremendously well, enjoying it an awful lot. The gun sounds are incredible because the sound of them changes as you enter different areas and environments, claustrophobic and open. There's only 1 map and you can only play Rush mode but it plays superbly, no complaints at all. Might get the PS3 version then PC version at Xmas.

I wasn't that impressed with the indoor fighting. I thought when the dude threw the grenade towards the doorway (around 50s) there should have been damage but the door frame remained looking pristine
Would have also preferred a different radio voice for the enemy - I think it is the same - sloppy touch there.
Out doors looked absolutely gorgeous though.
