Blizzard to unveil Titan next month?

World of Warcraft dev's next-gen MMO could be revealed at BlizzCon, analyst reckons

Blizzard may use next month's BlizzCon to unveil in-development MMO project Titan.

That's according to comments given to VentureBeat by M2 Research senior analyst Billy Pidgeon, with the site suggesting Blizzard's under pressure to deliver something big before the end of the year given that it recently delayed Diablo 3 to 2012 and EA announced a December release date for World of Warcraft rival Star Wars: The Old Republic.

"If they are holding any juicy details, it's going to be announced at BlizzCon," Pidgeon said. "The big news is probably going to be a Diablo 3 date and a possible new announcement about one or more new properties."

Titan (which is a codename) has been described by Blizzard as its "next-gen MMO project". The studio has also said the game is the "most ambitious" thing it has ever attempted" and has the potential to "eclipse" World of Warcraft

Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia said in June that Titan is "a new casual MMO".

According to supposedly leaked Blizzard documents, the project's due for release in the fourth quarter of 2013, alongside WoW's fifth expansion pack.

The Question is which game will be a bigger hit? The Diablo Series has a bigger fan base, but Titan may have more hype, because less is known about the project. http://www.diablo3skills.net
