Uncharted 3 will make use of Sony's PSN Pass, the publisher's version of the increasingly common online pass trend.
Software manager for Sony Spain Juan Jimenez told The Vault that Uncharted 3 will make use of the PSN Pass, making it the second game to carry the feature following Resistance 3.
As is standard, a one-time code will be provided with copies of Uncharted 3 for first time buyers giving them access to online multiplayer features from the off, but second-hand buyers will have to pay extra for online play.
SCEE announced this morning that Uncharted 3's full multiplayer suite will be made available to European PlayStation Plus subscribers this Wednesday.
"This is a great way to get a head start on leveling up your Uncharted 3 multiplayer profile - Naughty Dog have made sure that key aspects of your progress during the competitive multiplayer experience, will carry over into the final retail copy of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception," it said.
