Apple said today that iPhone 4S pre-orders topped one million in a single day, surpassing the previous single day record of 600,000 held by iPhone 4.
"We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S," said Philip Schiller, senior VP of worldwide product marketing at Apple.
"The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do."
It has also been revealed that a free Personal Setup Service helping customers set up their email and get familiar with new apps will be offered to those who purchase the iPhone 4S from an official Apple store on its launch day of October 14.
The new iPhone features Apple's dual-core A5 chip, 1080p video capture, iCloud and new voice command system Siri. If you're interested, you'd better get in quick before they're all snapped up.
