PES 2012, 3DS on top in Japan

F1 2011 and Rage also make the software chart top ten

Winning Eleven 2012 (PES 2012 to us) entered the Japanese software chart at No.1 for the week ended October 9.

The footy game sold 272,036 copies to beat off competition from a new PSP dating sim called AKB1/48: If I Loved an Idol in Guam, which debuted at No.2 with 236,587 sales.

The PS3 versions of F1 2011 and Rage sold 26,574 and 11,320 copies to debut at No.3 and No.8 respectively, Andriasang reports, while another Western developed new release, God of War Collection, came in at No.20.

Sales of all hardware platforms were down week-on-week. 3DS comfortably held the top spot ahead of PSP, while PS3 outsold Wii 3:1 and Xbox 360 remained ahead of the older 3DS models. Full sales figures follow below.
