The Golden Joystick 2011 Action Game of the Year has been crowned and the award goes to Ubisoft's hit stealth game, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Releasing last year to critical acclaim and huge sales, Brotherhood proved itself to be more than just Assassin's Creed 2.5 by offering a meaty continuation of the story and a brand new multiplayer mode. Read more about the game in our Assassin's Creed Brotherhood review.
Portal 2 was the runner up, with L.A. Noire in third place.
The nominees included LittleBigPlanet 2, Mafia 2, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and indie horror, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
So a pretty impressive win then. But what about you, readers? Did you vote for Assassin's Creed, or one of the other nominees? Sound off in the comments below.
