So the Wii U is supposedly out next year and confirmed games so far include Pikmin 3, a new Smash Bros., Ninja Gaiden, Batman: Arkham City and Assassin's Creed. So far, so good then.
You also bet your house on a new Mario and Zelda game being released for it at some point in the future, but we've been thinking about what games we would like to see on the Wii U, and what we came up with is probably not what you'd expect.
In fact, we're betting it's definitely what you're expecting, we're aiming high.

MIRROR'S EDGE 2
It's been announced that Battlefield 3 will be coming to the Wii U, so why not the sequel to one of DICE's other games? Mirror's Edge didn't sell too well, but the game has gathered a cult following amongst gamers, who all desperately want to see a continuation of Faith's story and play some more of that slick, free-running gameplay.
The first game had a wonderful atmosphere. Standing on a rooftop, you could see the whole city was a sterile white, with the odd dab of colour here and there. You'd get the feeling that it was trying to hide a dark past, and the ultra cleanliness was just a cover up for the extreme corruption and dirty deeds going on in the city.
We'd like to see Mirror's Edge 2 make use of DICE's Frostbite 2 engine, currently being used for Battlefield 3 and Need for Speed: The Run. It pumps out some amazing visuals and we'd love to see all the extra detail that could go in to making the game.
We think the game would lend itself very well to the Wii U, especially when played on the controller screen. We think it would feel a lot more involving if the game was right there in front of your eyes instead of across the room on the TV.
