Saints Row: The Third missing PS3 exclusive content

E3 promise apparently broken

A PS3 exclusive Saints Row: The Third mode previously promised at E3 has failed to materialise, according to reports.

Announced as "an exclusive mode on the PS3 utilising [Saints Row: The Thirds's] signature weapon" (a purple dildo bat), it appears developer Volition and publisher THQ failed to settle on one.

There's no content difference between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, Joystick reports, with THQ issuing the site a "no comment" when contacted on the matter.

The site speculates the exclusive content may initially have been planned as the game's Whored Mode, a wave-based co-op multiplayer offering now included in the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC editions of the title.

It was also announced at E3 this year that the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 would be bundled with a free, platform exclusive copy of Battlefield 1943, but that didn't turn out to be the case either.

Keeping up with the latest trends, THQ is offering a DLC Season Pass for Saints Row: The Third, which gets you the first four DLC packs for a reduced price of $20.
