Who suffered in the November release avalance?

Debate: What sacrifices were you forced to make?

There are far too many games being released now. So many that we're being forced to make sacrifices.

The last month alone has seen the release of heavy hitters including Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

And it's not over yet, the next few days hold The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Rayman Origins and Super Mario 3D Land in store. We're pretty sure there's a few smaller games that have been muscled to the peripheries that we're forgetting too (sorry!).

She's demanding, but we love her

These are games that - had they been spaced out throughout the year - we'd have picked up on launch day and given our undivided attention. But when surrounded by numerous other high-profile releases we're forced to make hard decisions. We don't like doing it, but a lot of them need to be cut.

There's only so much time and money we can afford to sink into playing all these games and at a certain point buying anything and everything that takes our fancy just leaves us frustrated, broke and cursing ourselves for being so foolish. We're only just reaching the end of last year's pile of shame and aren't keen on starting on another.

For most of us it doesn't make sense to pick up Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Battlefield 3 all in the space of a month, which means we're forced to cherry pick.

We'd like to play Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3, but realistically, the time that Skyrim demands makes it impossible. We'd love to finally put our Nintendo 3DS' to good use with Super Mario 3D Land, but having purchased Skyrim we can only squeeze in one more game, and quite fancy a bit of Skyward Sword. Its tough, but it has to be done.

We've got a fairly large casualty list of games we've had to skip over in November, so we're interested in how you deal with the busy season.

Do buy up everything thing you want and horde games or do you select one or two and come back to the others later? Are there any games that you wanted to play this month, but have had to skip over to accomodate other games? Let us know in the comments below.
