Just goes to show, Ninty should never release another console without a proper Mario game ready on launch day

Did anyone really doubt apart from Ninty haters and internet bedroom journalists?

it was a price issue and especially when it cost more then a console.

I was worried when they reported the losses. But really losses are also partly with something out of Nintendo's control (bad Yen). There were also analysts saying 3DS was failing despite Nintendo posting 3DS selling more than DS had at this point.

Its going to end the same with Wii U as well. Even if a new Xbox launches. I guess this chart is right after all http://nintendookie.files.wordpress.com ... -cycle.png

But I think people are allot harder one them for some reason compared with the other two whos losses this gen surpass what Ninty was going through and that was when the market was good, really good in fact.

Japan had the floods to deal with and bad economy etc but yet everyone wanted to cut Nintendo down to size when all they have done is try to innovate and push the industry forwards where as the other two are about business. Do you think Sony or Ms head honchos would take a pay cut if they were in that situation?

I doubt they would. People in the Nintendo forum showed me Sony's entertainment division actually made bigger losses than Nintendo because of their televisions. I guess Japan got hit pretty bad thanks to floods and bad yen. 3DS will probably take off more when Mario Kart 7 comes out.

You can say what you want about the 3DS its still got poor games here in the UK. Super Mario is the only new game worth getting since Ive played Zelda and Starfox to death. I wonder if the Vita will have any impact on the sales. I doubt it though. Nintendo should at least announce a true Pokemon game or a new Zelda for the machine but I doubt we will get them until Xmas next year.

You know when I first heard about that, I was amazed how a fake character could have the kind of star power that is has generated. But then I stopped to think about it for a second and realized that all these pop stars, are nothing more than fake corporate images as well. So the next logical step would be to just straight make them lol. Oh and impressive dominance by the 3DS.

Nintendo is doomed. Nintendo must develop games for smartphones. Mario should be an fps, etc lol

Great sales for Nintendo, im gonna pre-order a limited edition Zelda 3DS next pay, then a Vita shortly after. Its a great time to be a gamer!!

They could make a Mario game like Bioshock though to be fair, complete with pipe flow puzzles!

I would think more along the lines of Rachet and Clank. With Mario and Yoshi.
