EA registered the domain names for Command & Conquer: Alliances on December 2, not long before the Spike VGAs this weekend where a new BioWare game is set to be unveiled.

A two second teaser for BioWare's game hit the net a couple of weeks ago, and some have speculated that what was shown could be for a new entry in the long running RTS franchise.

A studio named Victory Games, which was created to work on the Command & Conquer series, is rumored to be attached to the BioWare label, further suggesting that BioWare could be working on the new title.

hmm, interesting, especially baffling that there are domains with all 3 different C&C sub-franchises.

as a long time C&C fan, especially the games up until RA2, this is good news, but as someone who gave up on PC gaming a long time ago, i am worried that it will either be a PC only game, or have console ports that don't work quite right.

Would like a new C&C game, but after the last one, with the lack of base building it kind of put me off. I like to build a mahoosive base surrounded in tesla coils and get a mahoosive army of tanks together then storm the base in a mahoosive fashion. annihalating anything in my path. This was not possible in the last one.

If this does come to fruition, then i hope they bring back bases.

Considering Bioware aren't exactly known for making games in any other genre than RPGs, could a C&C RPG be on the cards?

A bit like "C&C Renegade", that was a first person and third person shooter, could we see a return to that. But maybe with an RPG twist.
