Xbox 360 Dashboard update: Change for the better, or worse?

Give us your verdict on the new Xbox 360 Dashboard...

After an evening of delays, the new Xbox 360 Dashboard update has finally released on Xbox Live - whether you like it or not.

Free for all Xbox 360 owners, the Dashboard update introduces:

  • New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Live Profile
  • Beacons and Facebook Sharing
  • Enhanced Family Settings
  • Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps
  • Bing voice search (Available this year in the US, UK and CA)

In Andy Hartup's Xbox 360 Dashboard update verdict he painted an overall positive picture of the new interface, which among other benefits allows Kinect users to drive their Tom Cruise Minority Report fantasies.

It's not all positive though; some CVG readers have already been taking to the forums to vent their disappointment, claiming that - despite impressive Bing voice search - it's actually more difficult to find content with your thumbs on the new Dashboard.

Let us know in the comments below then, just what you think of the Xbox 360 revamp. Does the cleaner layout and Kinect functionality provide a worthwhile benefit? Can you find the Borderlands DLC you're after? We want to know.
