50 Hitman: Absolution trailer screens

Take a closer look at Agent 47's latest outing

We've captured 50 screens from the new Hitman Absolution trailer aired at the VGAs on Saturday night for your viewing pleasure.

Publisher Square Enix says of the trailer, which was created entirely using developer IO Interactive's new proprietary Glacier 2 technology: "Having just killed his ICA handler Diana Burnwood, the Original Assassin accepts her dying wish and takes on a very personal contract.

"This leads Agent 47 to the Rosewood Orphanage in Chicago, where he finds himself in the midst of a brutal raid by a gang of vicious criminals all after the same person."

While impressive, we can't help but think it doesn't look quite as Hitman-y as we'd like. Old slaphead definitely won't be getting a 'Silent Assassin' rating for that performance.

Hitman Absolution's scheduled for release in 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Check out PSM3's latest Hitman: Absolution preview after viewing the screens below.

I wonder what the deal is with the barcode on his head. Seems to either be some sort of band aid to hide it or he's possibly had it recently removed or something.
