Ninja PC gamers have spotted a listing for Alan Wake in Steam's registry, sparking speculation the title could finally be released on the platform.

The rumour's fuelled by comments supposedly made by Remedy's Aki Järvilehto, who's quoted as saying:
"We have received feedback from a lot of PC gamers, and I have to admit that yes, we somehow ignored that. Let's see if in the near future we could have some positive news to tell you about dating!"
Alan Wake's XBLA follow-up, American Nightmare was announced this weekend.

First off I am thrilled there is a chance PC owners will get to play something as awesome as Alan Wake, that's great news. But for CVG to go as far as saying its coming "home" come on. I don't care what platforms it was planed for it was on 360 alone in the end. So if it was to have a home it would be the 360. Despite that good for PC, glad Alan Wake has the chance to hit a wider audience now.

I'll buy it again if it has a decent graphical upgrade, cheap price and GFWL (double achievements!).
Plus it will contribute to the future of Alan Wake

I watched a film recently called Insomnia, and it reminded me of Alan Wake quite a bit (except for the perpetual daylight in the film of course).

Great i've been waiting to play this, i just hope it comes out good, i'm always paranoid when an xbox exclusive comes to the pc, it usually looks pretty bad runs bad and is locked to 30fps

CVG are probably referring to the fact that Remedy were originally a PC developer. In fact, one of Remedy's first releases was Final Reality, a PC benchmarking tool that 3DMark is based on.
