Is a Persona 5 announcement coming soon?

Atlus teases new game reveal

Japanese developer and publisher Atlus has suggested it may be announcing Persona 5 this year.

Speaking to Famitsu it said "That title you've been waiting for may be announced".

Although it didn't mention Persona 5 specifically, we're just assuming there isn't a contingent of gamers eagerly awaiting a new Snowboard Kids title (although we have fond memories)

Last year the Persona team released Catherine, its first title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the US and Japan. The title is scheduled for release in Europe

Although Atlus is releasing Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, a fighting game developed by BlazBlue and Guilty Gear devs Arc System Works, and a PlayStation Vita re-release of Persona 4 this year, we'll take all the Persona we can get.

I hope it pans out that way. I loved 3 and 4 on the PS2 and would even purchase them again for PS3.
